Panasonic RX-5250 Tape deck issue

The tape deck buttons will not stay down on my 5250 Panasonic, any answers helpful.

Could be stop mechanisms stuck on inside but only opening and examining it will give you better idea

Thanks for the answer. I guess i shouldve stated that only the rewind and fast forward wont stay down. The play, stop, pause all work.

Again opening up unit and checking deck will help
