LOL! Why can't some people post pictures correctly?    I can't tell if it's the SK-95 or the SK-71. Either way, they are nice boomboxes. If it's in good condition with all parts, offer $50 and see where it goes.

That's what I was thinking too, same with trying to figure out exactly which model this one is....I know the main difference between the 2 models you mentioned is that one has a few more LED's above the cassette deck than the other. Also need to find out exactly where it is; area code 508 applies to a LOT of Massachusetts. If it's too far away from Boston and not accessible by public transportation than it's no go for me. Perhaps another member from the New England area would like 'dibs' on this one instead?

Looks like an SK-71. Highly recommended box for low and mid volume listening. Very warm, rich sound. Cool tuner indicator too.

Go get that box, you won't be disappointed.

Great box. It is not SK-95, but it would be SK-71. Pick it immediately. It was an aristocratic boombox in its time

The difference is SK-95 has seven song finder (that is the LED row you mentioned), whereas SK-71 has only one song. Instead it has memory Fast/Rewind function from point A to B on the counter (There is a hidden counter inside the box to set the Stop point!).

The sound is very good, next to Hi-Fi decks with highs. LED VUs are the best seen on any box. 10 segment in SK-71 (11 actually, but first LED is always on), 12 segment in SK-95.

SK-95 Tuner Indicator video available on youtube. It is the same for SK-71 as well.

LOL OK OK OK OK!! :w00t:   You have me convinced! I'll contact the seller about it in the morning!!

and I will certainly nitpick the hell out of the seller's 'in great working condition' claim if they don't want to meet my offer

Seriously, I've gotten a few good deals based on, 'oh ya the tape deck works great!' Uh-huh :hmmm: : 'How come it's not turning then?' :dunce:
