Hi everyone-I've been listening to the Pioneer SK-95 at night at low volume with the bass on full and up to about 3 it's sounds fantastic!!
Another great thing is all the lights!!
The tape deck works great on this as does the auto-stop.
I really like the auto tape bias on this, great feature!!

But the nice sound at low volumes is great, warm and clean!
The tape deck is about as powerful as the radio and that's always nice!!

Just need to get a treble potentiometer as my shaft is busted off.
I have some photos that still have to be uploaded then I will post but after Chrsitmas-to busy!
I hope that any of you SK-95 owners listen to yours at night!! :surf:
Have a great Holiday week-Jeff. :-) :surf:  :santa:

Gonna have to agree with you Mr. Gettoboom! This is a very appropriate Boombox to play at Christmas time cuz of all the lights! I've attached a pic of mine here...I removed the speaker grills on mine and had crome dust covers installed for a nicer speaker look...hope im not frowned upon by my fellow boomboxians

............not letting me upload...I will set my avatar to the SK-95 :-/

The ultimate low-volume box is the Studio 1................Too bad the lights are too bright for bedroom use :-/

I think that this box sounds great at all volumes. It took a while playing mine before the woofers broke in...

I don't think the previous owner played it much.

There is another box I own tho that sounds better at low volumes......well it's not actually a Boombox .but this lowly transistor radio sounds better than anything at low volumes

It is a 210/6001

Great pics Bill!...........I had trouble loading my pics...Another unique thing about this box is that it has the mics on the handle! How many boombox's out there have this feature? This is the only one in my collection that has that!

So are those mesh grills black, or brown? Everytime I see them on Ebay, they look brown, but yours looks black (which is nice)

Some people don't seem to dig the speaker grills on this unit but I really like them. The deck is indeed fully loaded lol. I can't say much negative about the sk95 in fact I think it's really a underrated Boombox. And those condenser mics In the handle actually are pretty good!!

:-D I love my Pioneer SK-95, It does have a rich deep bass at low volume, Perfect oldskool R&B.
Now I didn't knew that the speaker grills comes of, I will try it tomorrow on mines. Also I think replace the woofers with better ones with the sames ohms would really make it sound better as the box itself has plenty of power to drive stronger ones.
