Sorry if whoever won was a member here but that purchase
was a poor decision IMO.
Two grand for an M-90? I couldn't even fathom paying that if it was dead mint!
Common now. I had one, they are wonderful boxes and all
But they aren't rare or even the best boombox in terms of looks and sound.
What is it about the m-90 that makes people want to pay that much money.
Someone please tell! :dunce:

:-D As if you don't know!

Norm sold one for for someone/raising money for charity that went ~ $5000. That was the all time World Record! That box had even the rare remote controller and was in like new condition with all contents in a new box.

That M90 looks like it will clean up nicely. A fully operational unit is definately the way to go particularly if it has had the belts done.

Still, at $1900, I will certainly never own one. I wonder how many members got their M90/M90s years ago when they were cheap! I bet they count their lucky stars that avoided 2012/2013 prices!!

James.... :-)

that is nutz :dunce:

Fully working is a term, not a fact. Unless the belts have been done, your not heading out the door with out a full service still required. It looks dirty as hell in those pictures, which means it's even dirtier in real life.

$1,900 is just crazy....good for the seller I guess.

Unless I run into one of these at a yard sale for $20, I will never own one. For 2 G's I'll go on a trip, put custom wheels on my car or buy 10 $190 radios! :w00t:

Well one other thing I noticed is shipping is super low to US for size and weight. Hopefully she's packed good for trip ;-)

It is pretty crazy what they sell for  .

Bill got my cassette deck working on my M90 (belt, pully adjustment, cleaning) and I got lucky that even with mine being left outside in the TRASH, it only needed a couple knobs to be complete.

It's bitter sweet owning a M90 because you would love to have some fat cash in your pocket for selling it, but you also know you couldn't really replace it with how the market price is so high on them unless you found one in the wild.

If I found/bought a 2nd M90 for cheap, I would make one great M90 from them and sell the other off on ebay in a heartbeat or hopefully score a wicked trade with a member here  .

I agree with Chris, i would rather have ten $190 blasters than one $1900 M-90...

Hahahaha, it's funny that you really can buy a M90 for about $190   :-P   . I'm proof!
