So, my son is turning out to be quite the music lover... I found him a cheapo no-name keyboard that runs on a couple of AA batteries for $2 at a thrift store a while back and it has turned out to be one of his favorite toys.
.... but it sounds like utter crap.
So...., after yet another impromptu performance by our budding virtuoso this morning, my wife looks at me and says "we gotta get him a better keyboard that can make sounds that are more piano-like."
So... I get to go shopping! 
We would like this keyboard to be more on the smallish side and to maybe have a couple of modes. I'd like it to have nice, solid feeling keys too..
As I'm not even remotely close to being an expert on keyboards, I'm hoping some of you might be able to make some recommendations, or tell me what to stay away from... Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Now... off to check out craigslist!
