OK-Are There Any Real Reel To Reel Boomboxes??

Here's one I don't think that's ever been asked:Are there any true
Reel to Reel boomboxes!??

I know I've seen smaller reel to reels on Mission Imposdible and
Hawaii 5 O!! But I've never seen a radio included on any of these!! :hmmm:

So the question is: Did they make any?? I've never truly seen a true
Reel to Reel Boombox.

Let us know and show us some pics!! :-) :hmmm: :huh: :yes:

I know the "open reel" tapes.
But boomboxes...? :hmmm:

The only thing i owned, was a stenorette with very small reels, but this is not a boombox.

Thank Bill & Roman,just can't ever remember
one with a radio so I guess there just tape recorders?. :hmmm:

I'd love to see one if there's such a thing!! :yes:

I don't really think there were "boombox" R2Rs.

There are R2Rs that had their own speakers and amps (quite a few, actually) but none that were meant to be loaded with batteries and blastsed the way we're used to.

Most portable R2Rs that did take batteries used reels smaller than the standard 7" size and were meant as field recorders.

Sadly, most of the ones that were made and sold back then were destroyed during filming of the "Mission Impossible" TV series. :lol:

Right on Jaetee! Yes there were just recorders
I believe.
Crazy there wasn't one with a radio & run on batteries-
Then it would be s Boombox!! :-O
