Gotta love the 'Hawks...When I stationed at Ft.Lewis I got to see them play the Cheifs when they were still in the AFC West.

I wouldn't necessarily say that...

Before retirements and defections: Baltimore had a scary defense and eventually found some offense to go with it.

Before off field problems and age: Pittsburgh Steelers had a scary defense and a bruising running game to set Big Ben up.

Before injuries and age: New England Patriots...keep key ingredients, insert other players here. And they play defense.

Truth be told, the AFC looks a lot right now like the old AFL with the air it all attacks versus the NFC looking more like the old NFL (Saints the exception, not the rule...and Philly got a reality check for Chip Kelly) with power running and stifling defense.
