This vintage 1983 Anime movie was the bomb!
Based on a Japanese comic book from the early 70's, there were also a couple of live action movies. The most popular one starring Sonny Chiba.
This movie was made back when they were still calling it "Japanimation" instead of Anime.
I've been a fan since discovering the Video on a shelf in an alternative video store in a part of Atlanta known as Little Five Points in the mid 90's.
Some of the dialog is classic cheese, and the move has one particular helicopter scene that is very early CGI that looks a bit out of place and will take you back to your Atari video game days, but overall this movie is a cult classic and definitely worth a Netflix rental, or even DVD purchase from ebay or amazon.
Here's an excerpt from the movie that someone set to set to Bond movie music (not in the movie)
