Noob with GE 3-6000B Boombox, want to add blu-tooth functionality & change the power supply?

Hey all, first time poster here and complete boombox/electronic mods noob.

I have been wanting to learn how to work with electronics for a long time but have never made the jump. Finally got a project that is pushing me over the edge and making me jump in. I want to take the GE 3-6000B boombox (that I just scored for $10!) and add in blu-tooth functionality so I can use it like a speaker for my phone. Since I don't want to go broke buying C cell batteries it would probably also be good to convert the power source to a rechargeable battery. Would those mods be crazy difficult? Could anyone share some advice with me or possibly point me in the direction of a good video tutorial ? Thanks much!

If the boombox has line in, you could buy a simple Bluetooth audio module & a RCA to Mini stereo plug patch cord & plug the Bluetooth into the line in. No surgery needed.

I recommend the same that suggested by Cpl-chronic.
Why tamper with a classic piece, when blutooth functionality can be added externally.
