new to forum, looking for advice on the jvc rc838

Hi all am new to this forum, looking for some advice, I am the proud owner of a JVC Rc838 which i bought from ebay for £26.

firstly as from the item description the cassette door opens out and does not close, is this an easy fix?

secondly am looking for the missing speaker cover as shown on the pics

It's a great radio....I have the Japanese Victor version. There are many members on here with this radio. I have bought parts for mine, I'm sure you can get what you need.

Welcome aboard, emmelc. That's not too bad a price on your 838. I'm sure a good bath will have it looking like new money. The cassette door problem could be a broken latch. With luck, the latch part will be inside the box. As for the missing tweeter cover, your best bet is to post in the Wanted section for it.

i was just wondering on price as i think i will be looking for another rc838 for spares and cosmestic touch ups. just so i know if am paying too much.
