Hey guys... Just got the brand new update to the I931. They have made some changes boy. Remember the post a few days ago where the member got a new I931 and it had no plug in for IPod. Well there was a reason for that. It no longer supports IPod/IPhone as a plug in. It actually isn't even called an I931 but now it's the 931BT.

They have really skimped on this as you get the new BT remote but just a cheap copy of manual and the windows for tuner and LEDs are not as clear as before. But the wattage being used is still 58 watts. The only other thing I noticed is the back of unit still states I931 !!! I actually like it though.

I tested it with my IPhone 4s and I get about 30 feet of music but when I tested it with Jeannie's HTC I only was able to walk away 10-15 feet.

Well enjoy pics and video :-)

You can still use Aux in to run devices as well. It's still a neat feature for non iPhone users ;-)

Thanks for the review Bill,

I can promise you, the reason Lasonic did away with the iPhone connection is licensing costs. Just to use the word "iPhone" on their paper work cost's them money. Apple

All my posts regarding Blu Tooth Mods to radio's all work exactly like you just showed. I think it's a cool thing. Don't iPhone's have A2DP Blu Tooth connectivity? If so, iPhone owners should be able to do the same with their phones.

Can I ask what you paid?

I agree....but I also believe Apple got a cut from each I931 sold. I paid $150 shipped which was cheapest I found.

Not sure what you mean about Bluetooth but I was able to connect and got better distance than HTC, about 30 feet or so :-)

Yeah, I'm sure Apple got a small cut. $150 ain't bad shipped

Since I use my blu tooth all the time, I may drop the cash and pick one up....I don't have a black one so ;-)

My HTC gets about 30 feet away....

definitely great price for black but $150 was cheapest for White which will be harder to get after a while :-)

Nope, Not at all....Actually, the new Lasonic's are made from a super high impact plastic that would probably survive an IED

And I just don't understand the negative reviews....For $150, I just don't think you can beat the sound and volume!

My older i931 ROARS!

If you want better sound quality, go for the $400+ TDK :-/

One other thing I found out today speaking with Lasonic. The new decals/labels on the 931BT are made so they won't melt in the sun. That is why when I said the window part on tuner and LEDs is not as clear. I also noticed they feel thicker than originals. :-). So I guess they are listening to the customers and making changes ;-)

Manual don't say anything since it's just a small sheet of paper which is totally useless.
