New boombox find 3D7 super woofer (restro)

Here is my latest find a Hitachi 3D7 it's in very good condition but dirty so i thought I'd put up some pics of before and after!! here goes

the insides!! looks like sawdust and loads of it


looks like you could smoke it!!!!!!LOL

The rubber drive is gone as well it still works but will go soon so I'll replace it and the belts!!

Not finished yet!!!! yer it's full of wood chips deffo ! It's taking longer than expected to get all the sticky mess of it ,it has got a few small nicks on it well little burn holes maybe from a welder/grinder not many!!But aprt from that it's real good condition,should be done today hopfully!!

Here is the finished job!!It cleaned up ok after a long soak!! I replaced the belts and drive tyre also gave the whole thing a good sorting out (speakers out the lot).Also a new aerial from a sanyo 315!!!! Now it sounds better and it is sooooooooo loud and the bass is brilliant !! I love it and will be a keeper!!!!

i have yet to see a good one on the shelves up here. when they do show up they are almost always beat to hell and well used.
while i like to see them used and well loved i have yet to see one i thought would be saveable up here.
almost always they have been rode hard and put aways wet.
