Need help identifying something

So my father gave this to me years ago and have no idea what it is, it appears brass but there is a spot that looks like it was filled in with lead or something soft, it's non magnetic and has a hollow end. Check out the pics below and if you have any idea what it is let me know because I don't:

could be a knock-out pin from a milling machine or an old drill press that had a taper in the quill

No idea what it is or where it came from, Just spoke to dad and he remembers giving it to me but he said he found it, doesn't remember where. It may be bronze or brass not sure. Cleaned it up a bit last night and took a few better pics, some close ups showing the detail:
