Ok so I realise this is a long shot but I need a solenoid out of an M90 deck as mine is shot and I really want this deck to work. Dozens of hours and head scratching in this one.
So just the solenoid or a whole deck and I’m prepared to pay or trade handsomely.
And this is for my M90 not a fix and flip box, it’s been in my collection awhile and will never leave lol.
This is the third attempt at repair too so the effort has been put in for sure!
And I’ve been around for a long time and paid into the system with posts, help to others, free stuff, discount deals etc so I’m not just a taker like some.
So I implore you, search you parts stash and your hearts and help me save this beloved boomer! :-)

Great tip, thanks Eric. I know you’ve been helping Dave (Docs) with it on another thread...it’s the same box, Dave is having another crack at it for me

Just tested E2 to negative and E1 to positive of a 9v battery and it pulls it in no problem.

a busted up m60 should have this part or a normal jvc deck of this age....there is also a cheap pc5 on ebay and i bet any money it will use the same solenoid lads and have other common parts, good luck my friend

Yeh it totally took the shine off owning an M90 when the deck didn’t work. I can forgive some boxes for not being fully working but not an M90. So I’m really grateful to Dave for not giving up on it but keeping going until it was done...I don’t know anyone with his level of determination with boxes!

It took me 2 years to restore the victor Si, it was a basket case lad and involved a second m90 which i gave to a good home on here but i couldn't do that again as i have lost my patience unlike Docs he fixes boxes on here that i wouldn't even use lol, such a great member to have on here, hats off to you Dave for helping so many members including myself...Rock on lads
