National Panasonic RX 5600 F . VU led mod

Last weekend visit my brother and make this led mod for the Panny ,is easy to work in this box .
First removing the VU,s and found a hole in the back ,ready to iluminate .The "L" version comes whit light swchit ,not sure is only for VU or VU and Dial .DSCN3719.JPGDSCN3721.JPGDSCN3723.JPG
in the pics looks too iluminated ,but is not too in really ,make severals adjusts to find final grade of light.

Sweet addition to the VU's. :yes: The last pic looks pretty sweet with just the VU label bright & the meters in the background.

I have no data about the sweet heart that we found draw - see last pics

cool.... can this be done too a rx 5700??? they came with no lights at all...


Adding tuner/meter light can be done to any boombox but light will be uneven :yes:

:agree: 100% Only a few of the LED modifications looks decent to me. Light should be evenly distributed and not like bright spots here and there.

One way it can be evenly distributed is if there is small amount of space between tuner scale and needle to use thin plexiglass across full length of tuner scale ;-)

Hi. Does anyone have any spare knobs from the front of the 5600 or a cassette door. Trying to finish of my unit.
