just ' invented ' the friction drive --

make an oval slot under the table --
whip some #40 grit sandpaper around a wooden dowel

bingo --we have variable speed -
and forward & reverse

think how handy reverse can be --when you miss your luggage as it revolves

as far as WHY ??

well --it will make a cool rotating display for my grandsons favorite hot wheels

and --last week - my uncool wifey insisted that we get to the airport an HOUR early to pick
up some worthless relative -
so then we pay a fortune to park close --still had a 30 mile walk !!
then she said that we cant wait upstairs and relax in the lovely // comfy lounge-
( sure dont want to miss HER visitor )
instead --we got to watch this freeken luggage conveyer revolve a few 1000 times

never paid much attention to this cool mechanism --
there is nearly ZERO space between the moving // turning discs --quite a good design

and if any qualified boomboxery member sits on it --for a sweet ride -
we cant get our nuts crushed or our peckers trimmed --
