Just drove ~200km to get this:
What's broken (but can be done):
- one knob on EQ missing
- the plate holding the left speaker in place is missing (at the down part of the speaker), still the mechanism (at the top part) works perfectly
- the light of the radio scale turns on and then dims out once you release the button (maybe it's supposed to be like that)
What's bad:
- the tape deck kind of works (still needs new belts I guess), but the buttons tend to get stuck (esp. stop & eject) --> there seems to be some kind of corrosion around the buttons
I'm a little scared to do anything about it
What's good:
- tuner is fine
- mint looks
- sounds bomb!! (I expected a little more bass, but no distortion no matter how far you turn the volume up)
- it is a nice first pick up, is it?
I don't know whether to sell or to keep it, like the one-piecers more.
It's a Fisher PH-490. Can you tell me anything about it? Oh and what's the difference to the 492?
Cheers,
Gregor
