Screw Ira, I call dibs on the Prosonic! :-D Skip, that's a very impressive collection you have. I especially like the blue Sanyo and the Fisher micro box. How does the RX-7700 sound in comparison to the CS-880?

LOL,thanks F.D! I like the sound of the RX-7700,but (IMHO) the Aiwa CS880 blows it away soundwise. I think the Aiwa CS880 is the best sounding box I've ever had.
As far as the Prosonic,it is for sale/trade to members here. BTW,I'm looking for a Sanyo M-X720 "Hint HInt!!! :hmmm:

LOL,yes I know Tony. I used to have a few more lie CS770,CS660,CS600,CS550+ a few mini Aiwas but I sold /traded them. I like to change my collection now and then to keep it different and exciting. There are so many radios I want to own but I don't have room to keep too many,so I sell/trade a few .

are the 600 & 660 very similar just different years? Or are they like 2 different radios?
Tony they are 2 entirely different radios.
They both used the Aiwa MD-3 full logic cassette mechanism like the CS-770 and CS-880 with a few subtle differences.
The CS-660 was built in 1981 and the CS-600 was built in 1982 and 1983.

I said it before, but it bears repeating - those are some quality boxes!

I'm a fan of that Panasonic (no pun intended) RX-7700! How doe it sound, skippy? I've liked the look since I first saw one...

Maybe it's worth adding to the 3-box hit list... :hmmm:

Thanks Mono! The RX-7700 is a very very high quality machine, almost hand built and super heavy! :nugget:
It sounds really nice, good highs and mids but a little bass shy but not bad mind you. The tuner is second to none, especially the shortwave. I love sitting around late at night tuning in sw stations. The tape deck is very cool and has a complex 11 song electromechanical music search. :-D

Yeah, I'll have to add that to the list. :-D Besides, I don't have any Panasonics and that's a nice sized unit that'll fit in very well with my collection...

Thanks for the info! :-)
