More shelves for the boom room!

I’d wanted some more shelving in the living room for a while so I sold a jukebox and extended the shelving units from a double and single to three doubles and a single to fill the whole available wall space. I love these shelves as they’re glass so when you add a few lamps the light travels through the shelves lighting the boxes up. Pretty pleased with the extended set up :-)

Spectacular! :w00t: You are endowed with incredible tinkering powers Si, I am amazed by the way you make it look so simple, from restoring devastated units to creating a magic environment like the above. It looks like the red light district in Amsterdam, but definitely more

(Just out of curiosity, what's wrong with a word that has been in the Bible of Dictionaries for ages, whose first documented formal usage dates back to 1962 and that pops up regularly in authoritative sources such as The Atlantic and the Washington Post? The automatic filter doesn't let me write it, so I assume it would be rude on my part to repoduce the full entry of the M-W. Hence, restraint and self-censorship, but frankly...)

Damn Si that is some good looking shelves full of beautiful boxes, looking at that will never grow old.

Dear me, it just gets better and better! Your right about the interesting effects of light travelling through the glass shelves but then I had a dreadful thought: All those hefty BB's on glass shelves??? You must have nerves of steel to even think of this, although it's very nice it would make me a nervous wreck. :yes: :rock:

Nah glass is tough stuff, take these beasts no problem. The existing ones I’ve had maybe 4 years and no issues :-)

Yeh pretty sure nothing is more impressive than Lee’s collection but glad you like it. It’s taken about 7 years to get this far...7 years of searching, bargain hunting, fixing, selling, trading, travelling up and down the country, more fixing, and lots of cleaning! Learning new skills, making new friends, meeting up with lots of them, but mostly fixing and cleaning! I’d like to say what’s on display is all of them, but that would be a massive lie lol...bought an extra two sets of double shelves ready for when/if we move to a bigger place :-)

I am speechless, this is beyond Awesome!!! Personally, I would never do this to myself: dusting those shelves would flip me onto my Dark Side! And not dusting them would be a crime, so I would have to (finally, as my Boss suggested a decade ago!) start visiting a shrink. Waiting for the follow-up on how are you in a few months :-)

I’m already mental lol. I use pressurised air to blast them every now and again...got an electric one which is soooo useful
