More bad news for me...

Well happened again. Had to stay in hospital for a couple days. Had real bad stomach pains. They did some testing and I will find out full results in few days but they think I have Crohn's Disease. They actually think I've had it for about a year in the half but have somewhat controlled it. For now I'm on steroids, pain killers and antibiotics.

Really is depressing me because I'm worried about being able to support my family. Having this and high stroke chances at my age is worrisome. Thought I'd share this with my 2nd family here just in hopes for moral support I guess. I feel better today and just got out. This getting older thing really sux!!!!!!

Terrible news Bill but now with a diagnosis, at least you've got something to work around to help better manage it.

Dear me, I hope you're worst fears are not realised and you manage to make a full recovery with no on-going problems.

Keep an eye on the effect of those steroids, I had a short course of them a couple of years ago and lil' ol' me went all aggressive with strangers! :w00t: :yes:

Hang in there Bill. I know that medical problems can be scary but it sounds like your medical team has a good idea what the issue is. I pray that the results come back negative for anything else more serious.

I know this getting old things sucks the big one but keep this in mind. Last year one of my 14 year old students told me that he was dealing with some health issues and it ended up being Crohn's Disease. So this disease can happen at any age. Even though he has this disease, he's a great kid and student with a bright future ahead of him.

If this is indeed what you have, you will learn to adapt your diet and overall lifestyle to live a normal life. Yes, I'm not going to BS you, things will be different but the love and devotion you have to your family will give you the strength to beat this disease and continue being the great provider that you always have been.

Just know that I guy in So Cal has you and your family in his prayers. Take care.

Sorry to hear of your medical issues Bill. I had a recent scare that required a colonoscopy - not fun.

We're praying for you dude.

Hey Bill, really sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I know very little about Crohn's other than it's a stomach disorder.

Along with everyone else, I certainly hope you get this under control and can take care of business.
