Hi all,

I'm putting the case back on my VZ-3000 and I'm missing pretty much all the original case screws due to the unit being worked on by various people over the years !

Does anyone have a source for replacement (LX)-CZ0002AFZZ screws ? They seem to be common across many of the Sharp GF range from what I can gather.

Cheers

CZ0002AFZZ is the same screw as the GF-9000 case screw (4mm x 70mm, GF-9000 service manual Ref no./item no. 267).

Brilliant, thanks for the quick reply :-) I checked a few Sharp manuals but none of those had the actual length and diameter of the screw listed. Now to try and find a local supplier of said screw - I wonder if the LX prefix has any relation to it ? Hmmm...

I have a couple of donor Sharp minis that I'll physically check against a GF-9000 screw for comparison, I'll post the results as this may open up an avenue for you.

I think the LX prefix must have some significance as 70mm is WAY too long for these screws. Also the 4mm (presumably M4) thread pitch doesn't seem right. I picked up some M4 x 20mm MJS the other day but they just didn't feel right - of course, the mounting holes in the case have probably been butchered over the years by people using the wrong size screws so what will fit now is anyone's guess !!

I've managed to use some screws I had lying around which actually did fit OK so I think I'm all good but thanks for the offer of checking.

The above info is correct although I have no idea what the 'LX' prefix signifies. I checked a couple of case screws on Sharp minis and found the screw spec to be different/unsuitable. Hope this helps.

That's all good, I think the alternatives I found are working out ok. The LX prefix must mean something in the Sharp parts world :-)
