Why does it always take an "after-market" guy to really bring out the hidden beauty of a new car?! :-/ Why can't the overpaid designers at car companies get it right the first time?

So he took a Camaro and turned it into a TA? :hmmm:

Interesting he used the same wheels that I had on my 75 Firebird Formula....

I wish I could afford one of these new "classics" ..... stuffed with about 1000 HP of course....

I was about to ask the same thing, I thought the Pontiac brand got the 86.
Looks cool and I'm sure its packing some major balls under the shaker hood.
Those new renditions of classics or ok :-/ but I think they're too chubby looking. They need to streamline them, I bet it has crazy amounts of drag at speed, but if it has the power to overcome it, then I guess it doesnt matter.

the fatdog is right about the aftermarket makers-

back in 1994 --i bought , from a pontiac dealer --
an 'authorized' factory hotrod
called a "FIREBIRD SLP FIREHAWK"

had a much bigger intake //exhaust//tire set-up
--sounded like a '60s BEAST !!

about an hour after my 'break-in' period :w00t:

took it up to the 'open' races at Morosso park

===cleaned house -- beat everything on wheels !!!

Wow that's wicked.

Bobby seeing some of the crap these designers turn out at the auto companies really makes me wonder where they got their education. Maybe the execs stopped the short bus on the way to school and handed out design jobs. :hmmm:

its pretty interesting. i am not a huge fan of lingenfelters work to be honest.
i mean for me its just too far up the elitist scale of affordability for my like.
this car tho is pretty nice and pretty faithful to the heritage it is representing.
theres not much i would change about it alltho i do think he was wise to take a subtle approach to it.
looks like some of the trans am dreamers will get there ride after all.
