I'm bringing you a better camera when I visit at the end of June. Such astronomical beauty and awe cries out for better quality.

Wasn't it beautiful? You could almost hear Richard Strauss' "Also Sprach Zarathustra" in the background.

moon was pretty surreal last night. had the telescope out and it just was so cool. sould see so much detail the mountains the craters were just so cool to look at through the scope. i also had a totally amazing view of the star sirius as well. its very strange that star how it pulses blue red and green. what i dont get about sirius is how when i was a kid i never recall seeing it. i mean the north star was the brightest star in the sky and sirius seems to me to have become more and more visible over the last decade. right now its a amazing sight. great shot ira it was just a amazing moon

Very nice Ira!!! I love sunrises & sunsets.
I also took a photo but my moon wasn't as big as I'm in Tn. BUT still it looked really huge and cool to!

not always this good --
but the full moon comes up from the sea one day per month =
and - its only big for the first 15 minutes -

then - i guess cuz it so wet -
it gets SHRINKAGE !!!

hey fred --
will admit my 1/3 meg --15 year old clunker is short on resolution -

however --now hear this --

this big moon event -was well advertised around here -
and there were about 200 cameras on the beach that nite -

all these photo 'competitors ' have been 'proudly' emailing their
lame// but high rez pictures all over town this week -

but --NONE are 1/2 as good as mine !!

i got ZOOM
not digital .... OPTICAL
