Lasonic TRC-922 Variations?

Today i picked up a beautiful Lasonic 922 locally...the one i picked up is really nice and all original ...it has lightly blue colored speaker grills, and a blue radio dial. The one i got today doesn't have the cool tweeters integrated onto the 2 front speaker grills, nor does it have the 5 band EQ . Does anybody else have these 2 different 922 variations? I'm still not sure which one i like more

gordie --we have had a few threads here --all about the lasonic intra- model variations --

and it was generally agreed that lasonic had several sub-contractor factories -
in many countries--
and lots of different component sources -

so -- none of us can truly know which of any model is the ' correct or original
or first gen example

Thanks Ira! The one i picked up today has the AMMS, but it's the light blue speaker grills that do it for me, it looks so good

Strange.....Does it say where it was made?

It was made in Taiwan, BUT manufactured for Montreal only according to the rear label

I will get some pics later on in the week

Well, today i was really lucky and scored another MINT Lasonic 922 again...it is identical to the one i found a couple of weeks ago with the AMSS, BUT this one also has the cool tweeters on the front speakers ...and this one i got today is a real powerhouse and sounds amazing . I'm still wondering how many variations there are of this model

The one i picked up today is exactly like the one in my pic from shizaudio below...the other one i picked up 2 weeks ago doesn't have the small tweeters on the front speaker grills...they both also have a nice lite "blue" color on the speaker grills...the 922 i got today is one of my favorite boxes that i own...and i'm lucky it's all original and %100 functional and mega clean

If you find one that has been gently used, and well cared for...it will have GREAT sound, and LOTS of deep bass...it's a great box
