no more than $150..

I found that last night too.. if he says $250/offer, than he would take $150..

I'd tell him $125 because it's "super hard to find a cassette door" even though you sometimes see em on Epay for 9.99

 He "knows they sell for $350".. yeah, maybe in perfect condition...

I don't want it, just stumbled across it during my searches..... ;-)

Like I said, tape doors pop up for cheap now and then..

imho
the 975 is all about its design // good looks
and not a performance // sound type box

so :hmmm:
with those cosmetic parts missing --

its not very valuable

( unless you needed the several good parts ? )

The door will be hardest to replace. But don't listen to Ira. The sound is better than TRC931.. I have all 3 editions of 931 plus my original from new 975....

One day I'm gonna do a video showing the difference

Anyway my opinion is if you believe you can replace deck door.. Then go for it :-).

That guy is shooting for the moon asking more than $100. The knobs are D shaft and lasonic only sells the spline shaft knobs now. The cassette door missing is a problem. I say no more than $125. I also agree that the 975 is a better box than the 931. The 935 is actually the best sounding out of the big lasonics 935/951/975.

975 is easily one of my top 5 favourite carry around boxes.
The bass carries big time at higher volumes and the battery life is astounding.

I'd get on it asap!

Rock On.

I agree  the 920 is a great sounding box. But I was referring to the big black Lasonic boomers out ;-)

I agree the 935 tops them all...

Bill, would be interested n your video comparo...I was thinking of doing the same with the 975/935/951

Back to subject....

$100 or less, you would still have a kick ass blaster, find some scrap knob that fits. cut some black plastic for the cassette door, glue it on AND ROCK THAT BOX!

And if you do buy it and break it up into pieces, I could use those speakers!
