Lanico-999 cassette issue,

Hey fellas I picked up a rare Lanico 999 in classy condition. It has already been stripped,cleaned and repainted. The guy from Yugoslavia did a vid of it in action. everything worked. when it came too me. the cassettes engage no sound? belts changed etc. all deoxit.It Bangs but 1hr of retracing connectors and demag heads. Hmmm? what am I missing?

Try cleaning the record bar

Record bar and all internal areas to casing cleaned. Now batteries wont respond. Previous owner removed connection block and re soldered wires manually. seem brittle. May need a new connector block terminal Possible bridging on solder joints...
