Kaboom With Handle

So I'm considering somehow adding this carry handle to my Kaboom. Love my Kaboom, but not a carry-friendly box with the strap - awkward. Adding a handle would take care of yet another major complain with these beasts (already added the tweets). I would lose about an inch of opening for the CD door, but still no problem with getting CD's in and out.

I would have to drill some holes at the top.

How about a handle strap? You know, a nice sturdy (maybe chrome like the one in the pic) tube, with strap going through the middle, and clips on the ends so you can clip to the original mounts?

I say go with Soopadoops idea...much better option...

check the handle in the strap first, drill later maybe something like an exercise bar that has the black foam so when it bags into it it is no problem.

Would be for sure a more beautiful way.
Sorry, that bathroom bar or what it is, does´nt fit to it...
There will be for sure better ways to go.

I think it is a bathroom bar actually! It's one of them bathroom safety hand rails. (never used though!). I agree though, I will ned to find a better way. I'll keep looking.

Haven't found a handle yet. I think the my best bet will be taking it off another box, will have to be a beater of course, and something that is nice and solid looking. Most box handles are rather thin when you compare it to the design of a kaboom. The kaboom has this beefy look to it so it is only suitable that it should have a strong handle. I'll keep looking.

OK, I see where your going with this.....I'm interested see how this works out!

The eisiest thing to do with a kaboom strap to make it much much easier to carry is disconnect the strap on the left hand side wrap it wround the side bar on the left hand side then reconnect the strap.... I did it for years and had no issues..... and it makes the kaboom MUCH MUCH easier to carry.... hope this helps

Doing this makes the strap MUCH shorter... its nearly like having a normal handle then....
