JVC RV-B99 Kaboom - full working but NO SOUND

Hello

One of my Kabooms is a bit tired - it's in working order but there is no sound! I checked it with my little JBL on tour - radio, cd and tape, all ok. Mybe it's the amp? Is there a cutout switch where I can check it, and where is it???

I no technican and never repaired a boombox - but it's already dead so I couldn't do something wrong ... so I would give my best under the advice of you guys. Any ideas what to do???

Try plugging in headphones to see if you get sound

I tryed it with a mobile, aktive speaker system and it worked ...

How did you do that? Did you use the headphone jack?

I'm in the same boat with the iPod version. No power won't turn on or anything got it with the box and all that. Might part it out. Wonder if these parts are interchangeable.

I tested it with the headphone input ...

and there was sound. Radio, tape and cd everything is alright. Just no sound at the speakers. But if you turn it on your could here a short "blub" in the speakers (my other working units also do that).
