JVC RC-M80JW Getting To Cassette Belts

Hi everyone-I just got a nice M-80 and it's all good but the deck just
clicks when you hit play.
Now I took the back off and I was able to get a finger on the flywheel
and I was able to get it to FF but play wasn't really happening!

This isn't like the M-60 or 70,looks harder to get to the belts.
But is this where the blue chassis screws will remove the chassis?!
I'd like to talk to someone here who has worked on one of these.
I really like this beauty, and it's never been opened!! I can tell!

I know these 2 motor full logic deck are a bitch to work on but if I
can get to the deck and clean it up a bit and lube it up I may have
A better chance to get it to go into play mode.

I still don't have the confidence to take apart these decks but sometimes
If you work them they'll work!
I'm hoping for the best.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From what I remember theres a white wire that connects the back pcb to the deck which needs undoing, there might be others cant recall. But to get at the deck you have to undo the pcb and lean it on one side to get at the deck.

Thanks Doc,I did go at that approach yesterday
when I opened it up.
I just wondered if there was anyone who
has removed the chassis on one of these.
Yes these M-80's have alot more wires & stuff
than the 60 or 70.
I'll go at it again later this month when I have more
time.
