JVC RC-828 play issue

Hello everybody.

I'm not lucky with JVC biphonic boombox. I bought RC-838 : no sound on left chanel . Today I have received the RC-828 but...
RW and FW works but not play and I don't know why (belts seem to be ok). Somenone has an idea ?

#1, the 828 with dead channel probably needs slider board rebuilt. Does the channel work in expand/biphonic mode?

#2, check the play switch. You can tell which microswitch by observing which leaf is actuated when play key is depressed.

Full restoration on deck most likely needed. Belts may seem ok but still might be slipping. Also all tires and pinch roller most likely need cleaning or replacement.
