Jvc RC-550 strap

Hello. Does anybody have a jvc RC 550 with a strap on it? I’m wondering how you get it around the bar? Does it have to come apart? Thanks

Ok. Yeah the back comes off this box pretty easy.

Won't those metal buckles will scratch up the face plate and all?
