Here is another boombox I picked up out in the “wild “it came from the original owner. He said it worked when he played the tape. He originally wanted $175.00 however, after talking to him about the possibility of having to replace the belts at sometime in the near future. You agreed to drop the price down to $80. I picked it up where we met in Peekskill New York. I tested it out before I gave him the money. Everything seemed good. It looks almost like new except for a couple of light scratches. The sound is pretty good but it is kind of light on base. It certainly doesn’t have that wonderful sound of a JVCM 70. Not quite as good as the. JVC-9475 I just picked up.
The auto reverse still works. I doubt the belt was ever changed in this boombox. In fact, I think it never was according to the seller. I wonder how much longer it will function without having to need a new belt. I think this boombox probably has two separate belts one for fast forward and rewind. Has anyone ever worked on this boombox? Is it difficult to disassemble and get to the belts?
