JVC Kaboom RV-NB1!!!

Hi,I finally got my JVC RV-NB1 kaboom!
This thing is ridiculous!! So much bass that I look at it and
ask myself "Is This Thing Real??"
It's in excellent shape and I only paid $75.00
for it!

Everything works and it has the extra JVC pad on the
strap and like a cord holder pad on there 2!

I don't have a remote so I'm wondering how to
set the clock and presets for it yet?!
Hoping to get a remote for it someday.

This thing has a gold plated Guitar jack on the back
and line-In!
I'm just overwhelmed by the sound!!!
I heard that the NB1 is one of the wickedest!!

I have also heard that it's a 20 D thing for a good outing!!
Photos soon,I just bought it and have been cleaning her up!!
Have a Boombox kind of a night!!

100W sound capacity is best for Kaboom! I bought a old model "Deck Set" 2 decks and mega quality sound I was satisfied with it but it's now broken. I think speakers are broken. I'm ready to purchase another good one.

This unit is a must have for a boombox fan - just wondering you didn't have one till now ...

The name is real - Kaboom! Oh yes ... but, at low volume the Telefunken Hifi Studio 1 beats the Kaboom in bass, and 100 times in sound. But I'm a big fan of it!

Years back I visit a Hifi store to get some speaker cable, and the shop assistant and lots of people where standing infront of ... I couldn't see it first ... just hear a real fat bass ... and than I saw it: a Kaboom! I ask him "... where is the subwoofer? I can't see it ..." and he answered me "... it's all build in this radio-recorder! Unbelivable! ..." so I went out of this shop with speaker cable and one of these Kabooms.

Still got this unit (and a few others of the RV-series), but these unit also got bad things: the tuner sucks - the tape is very unstable (never heared much tapes on my RV-NB1 but now it doesn't work any more) and the first series got this "rubber problem" around the subwoofers. Now after all those years the diluent in the rubber is dissolving, so every time I touch my baby at this point I got black colored hands. I hate it! The later series don't have this problem any more, which was the reason to buy also one of these ...

I miss my Kaboom! I'm 99% sure I left it in my ex's apartment in Orlando in '99. I went running out of there like my hair was on fire. But that's a completely unrelated issue for another thread in another forum. Great buy, Ghettoboom767!

Anyway, the Kaboom is definitely the biggest bass monster in the portable world.

First of all I want to apologize!

I've had such a horrible week and it's not fair
that I took it out here!
Scott didn't do anything-it's my fault.

I do feel sometimes that I get ignored and some members
here get on my nerves but it's all ok.

Had car problems,mom's in the hospital and
not enough work!

To top if off we had a heatwave that Texas would
have been proud of!!! :annoyed:

I guess the heat has gotten to me! Thank God
we just has rain & a coldfront!

This was the last of a trio of grails I had coming
Before my summer break as I need $ to work
on cars!!

boomer!!!! I I love this thing!! Damn good shape,
