JVC Antennas the same?

Anyone know if the M70 uses the same antennas as a RC-656? Boxes seem to be fairly close in size.

The 656 is quite a lot smaller in the body than the M70, 656 aerials measure exactly 35 & 1/2" (90cm) fully extended. (I have two, aerials are the same on both and I'm certain that [the aerials] are original), now if someone could measure their M70 aerials, you'd have your answer.

OK so, closed they're exactly 7" from the point where the short, fixed section exits the rear casing of the body to the top of the end fitting. The finest of the telescopic sections sticks out from the second finest by exactly 7/32" (that's included in the 7") and this is the part that fits into the clip on the top of the rear casing when the aerials are folded away.

Yep they're exactly the same...got a 656 and an M70 and the aerials are identical

The antennas on these are 35 1/2" fully extended!?!? Mine are missing so I wouldn't know... those are huge!!! how many sections are they, probably 5 i'd guess?

I would have expected expect there to be 5 but no, they're in 7 sections, each being slightly shorter than the one that it closes into, then that top section is slightly longer so that it protrudes sufficiently to fit into its clip.
