Just Got The Old Sinister GF-8787!

Hi everyone,I just got the old Sinister Sharp GF-8787 from Adam(That Fuzz).

The only bummer is that during shipping the Bottom left got a hole in it from damage in shipping! :'-(

But I had the couple pieces and glued them back into place and it's nor at all noticeable unless You get really close!

Was really sad as I always wanted this,was going to get it from Sinister originally but Adam beat me to it.
But now I have it and have really done some cleaning to it.
Also the balance wasn't working and it just didn't sound like it was playing in stereo so I opened it up and saw it was wired in mono!

So I re-wired the speakers and thought that maybe one channel was burned out but no it wasn't that weak on the left side so I de-oxit the volume & power switch and it's all good now!!
I cleaned up & oiled the deck and it's 100% and Works great!!

Love the blue dial on this plus it's a H!
So it's 28 watts and the tuner is strong plus it has LW!

I'm very happy to own this now!

Adam did a great job I'n packing but the USPS
decided to play football with the box!

But with a little filler and a little sanding and maybe
s little paint then it will hardly be noticeable!!

Hi everyone-Here's a photo of my Sharp GF-8787 I got from Thatfuzz (Adam).
I really like the blue dial background and that it's a H model.
It takes 28 watts! Really pumps and all I have to do yet is clean up the tape dack as it's a little slow on FF & Rew.
But plays hreat and all bands work!
Love this,It's the 8989's cousin!!

No they are out of another Sharp.
The cassette door has been painted black also.
But for the price I couldn't complain!!
These are kind of rare so it was nice to have the 8989's cousin &
I may someday restore it completely with original parts.
These woofers do rock though!!
BTW-does the 8787 come with tweeters?
Mine are not there! Just wondering,if there is supposed to
be some I'll install some later from an 8989 or similar donor.
