Junk store cassettes

Picked these up at £0.50 whilst waiting for my tyre to be changed nearby
4 Used metal and 4 used chrome.

Not used an Osawa cassette before.

Ah what. Can never find decent tapes here in second hand stores. Well ive found 1 place with tapes, trawled through 5 banana boxes for 2 metals and about about 20 cro. Rest was junk. Even our auction site bidding wars have gone insane. 20 used Maxell XL-Sii sold this week for $200. Didn't even get a bid on. Crazy

Previous owner seems to have been an opera and classical enthusiast. After picking the labels off acne cleaning them up they seem pretty good.

The 20 chromes is a good haul. How big is a banana box?

Probably 200-300 tapes in each box. Took me about an hour.
I asked at the recycle/dump shop about a month ago what they do with tapes. Claimed they don't resell them because of copyright infringement. Landfill most likely. 😥

Posted on another site, but just snagged 8 TDK (blue) High Bias (sealed) for $3 bones last week. Can't wait to try them. My sealed blank collection, chrome or metal, is up to almost 50, usually 49 cents at the local thrifts.
