There are a few house clearance junk shops in West Norwood Siuth London and I spotted a humble little Sanyo in one of them a few weeks ago. The shop always seemed to be closed. I wasn’t sure what the model was but it had a quirky little design and if it’s a Sanyo you’ve got to take a second look right? A Pioneer aside this year I don’t see much in the wild stuff so this is always cool.
A nice little shop and because the box didn’t fire up on test the guy gifted it to me for no charge.
It’s an M9970L from the late 70’s or very early 80’s with Co axial speakers and a small set of leds at the bottom. I got it going at home and the deck runs but sluggishly.
