I Am Legend
set my alarm early this morning --
to jump up and win this old chunk of my history--

but some nutcase :dunce:  wooodywantawonit -- not me :'-( :sadno:

anyhow -
now that "i'm over it"
---------------------------------
this Cambridge , Mass. thing -- (we grew up nearby)
is important in American-made audio history ::
from back in the early 60's

first there was AR (acoustic research)
then - a pack of their 'heavies' spun off to form KLH--
then - a pack of THEIR heavies started ADVENT

all 3 competed and thrived $$$ for a few decades
mostly -- they ruled the world of high end speakers :-O

plus - their was the famous AR turntable, the Advent tape deck
and a long line of KLH systems and FM radios-

it was sort of exciting to be up there-
and 'be a part of it' :-) :surf:

my dad was a fan of all three outfits -
and my brother and i and our freinds
would have NO other brands -SOLID !!!
-----------------------------

so - i just lost this cambridge woody-
but am quite happy to have these memories :-)

Ira. It looks like a wooden crate. What say you to getting a wooden crate, knocking it together and then stenciling those exact same words on it??? :w00t:

I Am Legend
my guess --
40 and fifty years later --
most of the big valuable ARs , KLHs and ADVENTS are still running
