Not suprised, it's called fishing for gold bars, and it's not the most expensive offering I've seen. Low information buyers might not even know that there's a korean version either since at first glance, they look relatively the same. Offering something for a price is one thing, getting it is another.

As someone who has been into boomboxes since a kid but never had the money until I was in my late 20s, I feel like I'll never own some of the truly heavy hitters. I've got a nice collection that I love dearly but I want an M90, GF-777 and C-100F but the prices are never coming down now.

It's strange , one would believe with the ending of FM transmissions the prices would drop..............

Ending FM transmissions would be horrible. Especially in the US. I don't even want to think about that. I would be cruising in my car without music and I don't always want to play cassettes, CDs or MP3s. I'm not surprised that they want to do that over time. They want to turn everything into a subscription these days. Then again, listening to the radio nowadays is basically one long commercial after another.

Same here about the ads and other c--p .
In the US you have to subscribe to digital radio. Here is a digital radio system DAB . It's free for now and they want us to switchover to it.
Maybe it's a trick so in a few years it may not be free anymore

I would think ending FM would mean a hefty jump in XM prices unless new competitors popped up.
I listen to XM on my phone whenever I'm working or am in my pickup.
The only problem with XM (other than having to pay for it) is that it cuts out in certain circumstances.
It's nice and clear and generally sounds better than FM.
It's also nice to stream it to some of my boxes that have bluetooth.
For how nice it sounds in my truck, if I couldn't use it on my phone, I probably wouldn't subscribe to it.

Out of their f'n mind, notice how the ad doesn't have a green price tag, which means sold, better have someone famous' ball sweat on it.
