I might Have An Addiction - 3rd Box In A Month of Collecting

I guess I'm both excited and skeptical with this one. I'm also concerned I might have a new addiction here. I got my M90 and a C100F a couple weeks ago and now this:

I remembered this post where it soulds like the same simple fix:

It looks like a rummager and not a collector is selling this, which is a plus to me. It would have a netter chance of just a simple fix and not a complete basket case this way. So, I took a chance. I paid a little more than I wanted, but it'll look good on the wall with my other boxes - plus its a great conversation piece! Any thoughts?

Right now, thats the plan.... That or a Tecsonic Super Jumbo. I have a spot in my man cave with a small wall that I'll be shelving out and have room for 4 big boxes.

Yes an addiction is;

When your wife says " it's me or your boxes"

When you run out of space and start using closets or like Ira, shove boomers under bed...

When your so far in debt you gotta start selling them :-(

When your watched items limit of 200 has exceeded on eBay

I can name many more but it would take a lifetime

Yes it is addicting - I just got a Disco Lite with the same problem and it was only the power switch (they are not the greatest design). However the one I have would function on radio and line in with one of the cassettes on play and the power switch in the off position. Hopefully it will be a simple fix for you as well.

I thought I would get two or three boomboxes.

And spend maybe $200, or at most $300.

Shiiiiiiiiiit.

I don't even know how many boxes I have now.

Close to 50, I think.

More on the way.

I've blown so much money.

Wife not happy.

But ...

I've got nearly every grail on my list!

Only three or four more!

I'm nearly done!

You beat me out on the bid, I bid $456.78 Grrr..!!! [yes, for true ] Hope you can fix it..with no lites or power I was skeptical on going over $500 cause if it can`t be repaired then the parts alone should fetch near what you paid.. Congratulations on your purchases!

I was really really considering that one too. Sure sounds like a dirty contact on the power switch.


Still sooooo much money for me, I'm a cheap ass . Most I ever spent was $350 on my C100, and even after years of collecting I don't plan on spending much more than that .
