I Love My Garbage Guy!

So my Garbo pops in to see me to tell me has a radio for me.
He comes in from time to time with some ok smaller radios and some shockers but they're all good for parts etc.

He tells me this time he has a nice radio, a bit bigger than normal but short and wide.
I'm thinking "ok, I hope it doesn't have a CD player".....,,,,,,
"I don't know if it works but its pretty clean" he tells me. "It's a bit orange on the bottom but other than that its ok". I'm thinking leaking batteries, not ideal but I can sort that out with some tlc.
"I'll bring it in tomorrow if you like?" (I run a coffee shop)
"Sounds good" I said.

Today he shows up with this, all for the princely sum of a cappuccino.

Look carefully, it's the mega rare sk-808, not the 900/909 that I thought it was for the first hour or so of owning it!
Pretty bloody pleased with this one!
Btw, it works! The tape door doesn't open at this stage but tuner and aux are good and the tape reels spin. Hopefully I'll have it working with a little love :)

Even the passive surrounds seems to be intact!
You should pay your Garbage guy for a month's cappuccino at least :drool:

Awesome story :clap: Congratulations Alfie. This is indeed Mega rare. Never seen this specific model. Does anyone else have this specific one?

I have to keep a bit of a poker face on incase he decides to start sending them to ebay ;)
