I have to tell this story about sellin Lap Top computers....

I put up two lap tops for sale on a free on-line Irish site ad... I got a guy who wants to buy them and has sent off "Fake" PayPal payment, where once the article is sent I must input the tracking number to release the funds... 500 euroes.

Now, knowing how this scam works (and a good anecdote, my PayPal account is French, so all communication from my Paypal support would be in French.... These scammers do not know this and have sent the fake PayPal money pending tracking Number advice in ENGLISH!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have being playing along with their game, as a pure ignorant, to see if I can get them to send REAL money onto my REAL PayPal account for the shipping, so as to get a free 20.25 euros.

We will see if their bite!!!! I hope they are dumb enough!!!!!

Oh, and there seems to be another starting to do the same thing!!!!!!!!!! see if i can play him!!!!!!!!

A guy I work with is selling a laptop on craigslist and he's receiving about 8 of these scams a day.

I'm not a fan of Craigslist for this very reason. I tried to sell a car and was inundated with cr@p like this and not ONE legitimate response!

In that attached story with the Lap Top, The sad part is, they were able to burn that guy....they were able to actually track him down.....

Amen to that... It is all about the money generated from fines these days. Governments on all levels are addicted to it... :annoyed:
