i just finished counting up all my old cassettes . i got to 131 albums complete with the cases and covers and stuff.
i even found a cyndi lauper shes so unusual tape that she actually autographed. pretty cool .
there is things in the box i have not listened to since the eighties too lol.
quite a collection of music ranging from some classic rock right up to the mid nineties early rave stuff.
cranked a few while i was straigtening out the box.
music for a white room some ramones and some new order.
i need to archive these at some point. or do i i mean i find most of my tapes still sound really good. every once in a while i will come across one that has not survived the test of time but most of them have survived really well.

Just picked up a bulk lot of 225 cassettes from a New Zealand auction site, still going through them but most are in really good condition, this collector was selling all his cassettes in one go, picked up the lot inc postage for AU$140.00 (about US$120.00.)

A heap of 70' & 80's metal, a dozen Motley Crue, several Gunners Tapes, Van Halen, Slade, Scorpions, multiple Judas Priest, Aerosmith, 17 different Alice Cooper, several Beatles & related., multiple Eric Clapton, ZZ Top. Well I could go on......

Now 80's metal is not really my thing, so I'm up for trades for late 70's & 80's synthpop, new wave, punk, post-punk and ska, I'll put a list in the appropriate forum.

This collection adds to my 50 or so pre-recorded that I already have, plus all my home recorded tapes.

I haven't counted but I would guess I have somewhere around 100 to 125.
Most of them I get from 29 cents to $1 and I've only had a few that were shot, most are still in very good shape.

50 of my cassettes were in a dumpster (mix of 80's pop/rap) and the other 150+ were a craigslist collection of 80's rock I got for $20
