Scored some lovely Open Reels by Teac recently, they look awfully special in any blaster, not tried recording on them yet, but I'd expect the High Chromes to sound pretty hot.
It's not super hard, I guess with practice it'll be easier.
You do need something to push the leader clip in with if you have massive fat hands,.. as I do.
I wouldn't want to change reels in the street or something though.
