Last night was a awful accident.
A car-go train had a brake failure and ran out of the tracks in a corner.
About 15 wagons and the lok was smashed in the gardens of a few houses.
And about 300 brandnew cars also destructed! :-O

Here a few pics of that giant puzzle now:

good luck indeed that no one died!

better luck that they were only Korean shitboxes by the look of it - and not a train load of Porsches

It was a factory train from romania, loaded with DACIAs.

It´s a cheap label from RENAULT. ;-)

Notice the loco next to the house.
The owner was shocked for sure.
The "Taurus" weights nearly 100tons.
Imagine it smashed into the house. :-O

btw: our new member kingrat2010 lives in this part of austria.
Hope not exactly there.

Wow, that's horrific!

Glad it was only a freight train and not a people-mover, or that there were no explosive chemicals! Anyone in close proximity to that was very LUCKY!!!!

Can you imagine the noise that crash made in the middle of the night?
(Remember the opening to the Flinstones? When Fred puts Dino outside and he starts barking, and then all of the lights from the surrounding houses turn on...)

Sorry to hear that Roman! I'm very glad it wasn't you.
Trains go so fast and have such inertia that stopping isn't good and such damage can occur!
Take care & be careful-GB. :-O
