I get the next one from this famely and there are 70% the same problems as in the Perdisco TRK 8600 Silver.
I have open the case with an batterie cover (bevore them, i removed the screws)

Lets start with the picture story:

This contacts make some problems with the voltage for the amp or tuner....


The solder joints... now, how to get there with a soldering iron ....?

After two hours, the switches are outside.... and...


...and i can open the biggest switch of all to clean


A lot of contacts and sliders... yes, they must get clean !!


The A... ähh, i mean the clean team.
Contact 60 to clean
WL or isoprop to neutralize the acid from C60 -> (this could distroy potis)
And C 61 to sealing the contacts (This protects against new moisture) (google translator^^).


And the taster also

Ready !!!! And it works with the first test, no problems... woooooaaaaaaahhhhh... i was soooo happy !!!


And this taster here makes startproblems in the tapedecks, clean it also, i have used sandpaper.

Those switches, with all the little parts scare me to :grim:
I have taken them apart and you never know if they will go back together or if you will lose a part or if pieces will go flying.

:bow: Its not easy to remove parts with sooooo many solder joints. I tend to get so frustrated with stuff like this and thats when things start breaking :lol:

I have the easy and cheap version of these (5,99 € in the next electronik store) is that a normal soldering iron with a sucker ?

Lots of work but totally worth it, really cool job!

I have recently invested in a Weller soldering station and a big-ass Soldapullit solder sucker and that was life-changing! I meddle with vintage computers as well, and desoldering chips with 40 legs is now a 10-minute clean job instead of a 2-hour one with broken traces. If you want to do this more often, get the good stuff or perhaps borrow from a friend :-)

Many thanks... yes it was a lot of work, ive learned a bit with an old reciver from thechnics (Source switch from a SA 303). This was my fist try with an 14 € soldering iron... it was horrible and a patience job...
For that Hitachi (my second try) was a much better ``ersa´´ Iron in use. It comes with a long time head for SMD. The head is as big as a biro.
