Hitach 8290 belt locations...

Could someone kindly point out the proper orientation of the belts for this puppy. Opened it up and it was goo central.

Also there is a retaining plate on the bottom which seems to be held on with a single screw, is this the case, just remove the very small screw on the right hand side ?

There seems to be space for 3 belts in there but the documentation about belts indicates 2 main belts and a third for the counter.

Could anyone with one of these shed any light at all please ?

well by the looks of it the 2 bottom ones use 1 belt around the 2 wheels and the motor then your top one is the main flat belt capstan wheel and motor

Could anyone with one of these take a look please ?
No idea what size of belt to order because not sure of the orientation of the belt.
From what I understand from the PRB line reference there are only 2 belts ont he drive.
I'm also struggling to remove the retaining plate from the bottom, anyone ever replaced belts on this thing ? I know it's not hard but I don't wanna fudge it.

good doc you saw what i was saying there were 3 belts that run on that motor i just worked on one with basicly the same deck... 1 belt for the white wheel and 1 for the black wheel and the last one was the top wide belt ... you did good ....

Hey, that's strange I only used 2 belts and it works fine.
The PRB line catalogue refers to 2 belts and 1 for the counter so I placed 2 belts in and it works, oh well.
