Last weekend, there was a huge celebration in Berlin:
The main boulevard, the Kurfürstendamm, celebrated its 125th anniversary.
As a conincidence the very first automobile also celebrates it 125th anniversary this year.
Enough reason for the Berlin government to black this whole boulevard for one whole weekend and let oldtimer car owners display their treasures there.
Herbie was present there of course and since this was my first real car show to enter in, it was really cool and overwhelkming to start with one of the ,most unique ones ever
.
I was there on saturday and sunday and stayed there for 10-12 hours each day I think - maybe longer
.
It was really cool to hear an excited child shout "Herbie!" every 30 seconds . Some older people also came up and spoke to me (after understanding that a 19-year old owned this car ) and told me that this was the first car they ever drove and how reliable it was and what happened to them in it. It was really nice. Some kids sadly could not leave their hands off Herbie so I had to "guard" him most of the time...most of the time they just petted him which was okay but some really went on the running boards and pulled the door handles and such...well - I was able to take care of it nicely by telling them Herbie would get hurt by that 
. Some people who asked really nicely also were allowed to have a picture of them taken in the driver's seat. Bright smiles everywhere

I am glad to know that I am not the only one who loves this car

Zippy also came by and took some really good pictures with his new camera and we talked a little bit. It was really cool.
