I need somebody, who have will to help me reshipping one roof rack fairing from the States. To order it to his address, take out the receipt , put 10 euros value and ship it to me. Will be really nice to give me a quota for the shipping costs before all that. I will pay all paypal and other fees and will put some extra cash for beer or two.
Thanks in advance.
this is the fairing which i want ( not necessary to be this auction, every 44 inch Thule for best price will work ). And if somebody have some fairing second hand for sell will be happy.

I wonder what that large of a package ships for from the States to Bulgaria. I could help if you figure that out.

I used the product info from Amazon to calculate an approximate shipping estimate:

Shipping weight: 2 lbs. ( I added two extra pounds to make it 4 )
Dimensions: 31 x 8 x 3 inches

USPS gives me:

Priority Mail Express International
Max. length 36", max. length plus girth 79"

3 - 5 business days to many major markets $68.20

So, I would say shipping could be somewhere between $60 and $80 USD.

Put me on the list as a backup option.

Just as another option, these parts are cheaper from eBay.co.uk, eBay.ie and possibly some European eBay sellers too. Would the shipping not be much cheaper that way? Or my work has an account with Maccess for parts that we use in students' project cars, cheaper again than eBay and if you're not VAT registered you can claim that back which is currently 20% in the UK.

OK, here are some:

http://www.roofracks.co.uk/

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_14552_productId_813507_langId_-1_categoryId_null

http://thuleonline.co.uk/

Price from Maccess is currently £62.89 (wholesale), not sure what the relevance of MOT/CT testing is, opening my tester's manual as I type this.
I checked the construction and use regs too, nothing there to prevent the use of such a thing here or in Europe.
MOT regs are HERE and the MOT is compatible with CT. Roof racks aren't in fact within the scope of either testing regime

EU type approval can be obtained in any EU member state, in this case Type approval is current in the UK which is a member of the EU at least up 'til Scottish independence or the next election, whichever happens first. So buy before the referendum just in case the no vote happens, in any case type approval is a consumer protection issue and not related to car accessories that aren't structural so for example, towbars are subject to TA, towing mirrors aren't. Webasto-style Sunroofs are, roofracks aren't, etc. According to C&U, even if the roof rack has loose fittings, these don't come within dangerous bodywork legislation but would be dealt with as an insecure load, the type approval status of the product isn't relevant in that case either.

I'll check whether Maccess can still honour the price they gave me once I get back to work after the Easter break. I'm not in before the colleges open again. If [Maccess] has one in stock I'll grab that on account and let you know, unless you get tired with waiting and go for an alternative source before then. Either way, it wouldn't be a problem.
