Second: Please, anyone can help me with a schematic diagram or a service manual for Sankei TCR S90-II I'd just bought and need restoration (the radio don't work properly).

Anyone got any information about the schematics or repair manual? I noticed that this box has an aggressive high-pass filter. When playing sine wave test tones (about 200-50Hz), you can definitely hear the level go down from as high as 100Hz. Below that, there is almost nothing to be heard. Maybe 70Hz is still at somewhat heard but man, really bad.


So, this thing has to have a high pass filter in some part of the signal route. But as there are no schematics, its damn hard to find it. I bet it could be a passive line level type first or second order filter.


I have even tested the boombox with 2 different amps, the first was from GF-575 and the second was a digital 2 x 25W amp. Neither of those played the bass any better.


One thing that's a bit odd is the use of high quality Marcon capacitors, rated at 105 degrees celsius, some bigger caps have even a date marked, from 1982. Marcon was originally owned by Toshiba. And this box (mine is a Palladium 872-075) is originally from Toshiba. The boomer seems like it has really decent electronics, slapped in a large mediocre quality lightweight box. And I am pretty sure that If that darned high pass could be bypassed, we would have a real soundmachine here. As I remember, the amplifier chip has quite lot of juice too.
